Issue #4 - Who is the market leader?

Here I have the annual revenue of all property sector companies listed on Bursa Malaysia. This list should help us understand the position of each company in the sector/industry. Total market size of property sector is about RM21.4bil.

Now, shall we look at only the market leaders? Or should we also look at smaller players?

Morning team member,
In my opinion, in this property field, the market leader will be the main influence in determine which projects that will get from the government especially. So, it is worth to take a look on those leader first before identify other small player in this field.

Looking at the demographics of Malaysia at this link,

62.6% Malaysian is between 15-64 of age. Assuming property developer make money from ppl buying property, each Malaysian spent RM136,700 on average purchases last year making the property market in 2005 to worth RM21.4bil.
